Blarney u13a team played our first away game of season in Corkbeg and were unlucky to draw an eventful game.Blarney opened the scoring in the 6th min thanks to a fine run by Steven O Riordan.Blarney had the better of the opening 15 mins and should have been 3-0 up but for some poor refereeing decisions and it proved costly when Corkbeg equalised and then 5 mins later took the lead.Halt-time allowed the blarney management to change things around and the introduction of Kian O Brien and Keith O Mahony paid immediate dividends with ORiordn netting his second after some fine team work down the Corkbeg right wing involving Fenton Forrest and Ethan Pickett. However corkbeg regained the lead moments later after some poor defending in the Blarney backline.Almost from the K.O, Blarney were on level terms again and a fortunate own goal resulted from Ethan Picketts speculative ball over the top caught the Corkbeg goalkeeper out of position.3-3 with 10 mins left saw Blarney carve out some very good chance but wayward shooting and desperate defending from Corkbeg ensured the spoils were shared on a glorious sunny morning in east Cork.
