Blarney played their fourth league game at home to Carrigaline Saturday in what was a close game . Blarney took the lead after 15 minutes when Billy O'Sullivan was pulled down inside the box and he stepped up to convert the penalty and take his tally to 5 goals for the season so far. Blarney were awarded a free kick after 20 minutes when Jerry Murphy was obstructed 25 yards from goal and Cameron Lynch drilled home to make it 2-0 to Blarney at half time. Carrigaline pulled a goal back after 40 minutes with some good play however Blarney restored their 2 goal advantage on 45mins when Jerry Murphy made a great run from inside his own half and his low shot from 20 yards nestled into the bottom left corner of the Carrigaline net to make it 3-1. Carrigaline rallied well for the last 15 and were rewarded with 2 minutes to go with a well taken goal from close range to make it 3-2 , despite pushing for a third in the final minutes Blarney defended well and deserved all 3 points. Jonathan Keane was Blarney's man of the match.
