In only their second game of the season so far and the first time some of the Under 13 B team have played together they put on a great show against a Watergrasshill two divisions above them in the Founders Cup. Having found themselves 3.0 down after twenty minutes they never gave up. With just a few minutes left before half time Brian Dinan scored his first goal of the season and his first goal as Blarney Utd Player. 3.1 was the half time score. With one or two positive words at the break the team came out of the traps flying and where rewarded with a goal on 37 Minutes by Diarmuid MacDonagh with his first goal of the season. Shortly after that Watergrasshill had a quick break and scored to make it 4.2. But Blarney didn't give up them came straight back at Watergrasshill and with a waving run Hieu Power was brought down in the box and Blarney were awarded a penalty. Hieu dusted himself down and stepped up to slot away the spot kick for his first goal of the season. In the final 10 minutes of the match it was very open and Blarney nearly got the equalizer, but Watergrasshill broke away and scored their 5th Goal. The 6th goal followed shortly after but nothing could be taken away for the spirited display that Blarney showed. There are good signs here for this team and with a full squad will trouble most teams in their own division. Notable performances throughout the rest of the team namely Josh Lyine's, Cian Mackin, Emmet O'Shea and Fionn Collins.
