Three goals in a two minute period in the first-half unltimately detremined the outcome of this game. Blarney had started well, were playing confidently and created a number of chances when they were hit with three breakaway goals in quick succession. The Blarney lads knuckled down and got themselves back into the game with a well-taken strike from Eoghan Maloney. They then came out fighting in the second half and dominated possession, territory and opportunities in front of goal, with Eoghan Kirby dominant at the back and Ryan O' Sullivan running hard from midfield. However, despite a a huge shots on target/corner count in their favour, the Blarney boys could not make the breakthrough with only the woodwork and some heroice last-ditch defending depriving them of their just reward. Un-daunted, the boys are keen to get back on the pitch and are determined to match the results with the performances - it won't be long !
