Blarney Utd V Midleton FC - 01-Nov-14 Final Score 2-2 On a very wet Saturday morning Blarney second took on Midleton who are fourth in the league…. Blarney started the game brightly with most of the possession for the first 10 min.; Midleton however weathered the storm and on their first counter attack won a corner which resulted in a goal. Blarney continued to press for an equaliser with Midleton however always dangerous on the counter attack and Blarney were rewarded for their efforts after 22 minutes when Gavin O’Sullivan scored with a fabulous strike from 15 yards and this is how the score remained for the remainder of the first half…. The second half started as the first ended with both teams creating chances and after 10 minutes it was Middleton who took the lead following another counter attack.. Blarney as they have shown all season showed real resilience and equalised again after 45 minutes with another excellent free kick strike from Cameron Lynch from 20 yards . 2-2 was how the match ended in a very entertaining match played in good spirits by two good footballing team.
