Blarney Utd V Rockmount FC - 06-Dec-14 Final Score 6-1 Following a great performance against Leeside last week where they had no luck in front of goal, today, Blarney were up against an Rockmount a team they found hard to breakdown in Whitechurch back in mid September and were lucky on that day to come away with all 3pts. Blarney made no mistake in this game and from the first whistle they had their game plan set out and made no mistakes with their chances in . Blarney were 3-0 up after 15 minutes with Adam O’Mahony in devastating form for Blarney, he was first off the mark in the 4th minute when he broke through the Rockmount defence and he struck low from 15 yards to the bottom of the Rockmount net to make it 1-0, With most of the play in the Rockmount half at this stage then it was O’Mahony who struck again on the 8th minute with another strong run into the Rockmount final third he struck low to the Rockmount net to make it 2-0. Then it was Gavin O’Sullivan who made it three on the 15 minute when he moved up front from the centre half position and his curling shot from the right flew into the bottom right corner. Just before the break Cameron Lynch made it 4-0. In the second half Blarney again dominated from the whistle and with some great passing moves they added two more goals with Gerry Murphy scoring from close range and Cameron Lynch adding a second when he broke through the Rockmount defence and slotted the ball to the bottom left corner to make it 6-0. Rockmount scored in the last minute to make the final score 6-1 to Blarney. MOM Adam O’Mahony
