Blarney continue climb up table.

A dogged and disciplined performance saw Blarney come through and take the points that took them two further places up the table.

Blarney were solid and determined all over pitch and gave little away against a very good Leeds team who were limited to a couple of half-chances as the home side stayed rock solid for a fine clean-sheet.

A superbly struck Aaron Dorgan corner saw Conor O Riordan climb highest with a great header and although the initial effort was blocked, Luke Keogh was in quickly to finish the rebound. This was the breakthrough that Blarney were looking for as both sides battled had to gain the upper hand. With their noses in front, the home side were never going to give up the lead with some resolute defence, lead by the outstanding Eoin Kirby.

As a team, Blarney stood together in the second half and fought for every ball, despite Leeds throwing everything into attack in a frantic final 10 minutes,. Blarney remained dangerous throughout with the excellent Shane O Shea setting up many attacks as well as keeping the right-side of the pitch tied-down with some great support from Adam Higgins in the full-back position.

A well-earned Christmas break awaits this hard-working and dedicated Blarney team, with plenty to look forward to in the new year as the performances continue on the up and up.

From all the coaches, well done lads and Happy Christmas !
