BUFC 03’s Dylan proves to be a Constant Goal Threat as Blarney progress in Cup. Blarney U-12s moved into the next round of the Local Cup as they produced a solid performance to see off Douglas Hall A. The result was never in doubt as Blarney controlled the game from start to finish. The biggest danger to the home team was any possible complacency but, in fairness, the boys went about their business in a very professional manner. A very tight defence gave nothing away on the few occasions that opposition managed to break through the Blarney midfield, who were busy and committed throughout. Indeed, this attitude was matched all the way up to the strikers whose relentless running and harrying gave the Douglas defence no time to settle. The stand-out players were in the Blarney midfield where Eoin Maloney completely dominated the right flank and Aaron Dorgan put in a non-stop performance for the full hour. Of course, man-of the match would have to go to hat-trick hero Dylan Constant, with three exquisite finishes. This is a prime example of effort and commitment both in training and match-days finally paying off and we can look forward to Dylan's name appearing in many more score-sheets before the season is out. With a critical period of league games approaching, this was an important opportunity for the Blarney boys to lay out their stall and show the attitude that is needed over the coming weeks. They did so in style.
