Blarney United v Temple United Blarney United U16 team went top of the division one table by 1 point and a game in hand when they beat Temple United at home in O’ Shea Parks on Sunday morning. This game started poorly for Blarney and it took them more than 35 minutes before they settled into the game. Once they did settle into the game they then dominated the game tell the final whistle. The first goal came on the 36th minute and was scored by Evan Murphy. Two minutes later Levi O’ Mahony had the ball in the net from a fine strike from outside the box. At half time the game was 2 – 0 to Blarney. In the second half Blarney seemed to settle into the game and start playing football as they have done all season as a team. On the 49th minute of the game Aaron Kirby Hennessy scored a fine goal making the score 3 – 0. Temple fought hard to try get a goal back and did create a few chances that were on target. In the 57th minute Evan Murphy scored his second goal of the match to make it 4 – 0 and within the next 5 minutes Blarney had 2 more goals in the Temple net both scored with headers from corners the first scored on the 59th minute by Declan Hanlon and the second scored on the 62nd minute by Jack Moore.
