Final league game of the season saw Blarney draw 1-1 in O Shea Park on Sunday. A good game of football in the first half saw chances at both ends . Blarney keeper Jake O Leary made a tremendous double save to keep Corinthians out while Cathal O Brien was unlucky not to score at the other end.
The second half saw Blarney dominate possession and were unlucky on a few occasions not to go in front. Blarney had all the play and continued to pile the pressure on the Corinthians defence. However with 5 minutes to go Blarney unbelievably found themselves 1-0 down to a Corinthians counter attack. Keeper Jake O Leary could only parry a Corinthians shot and the isolated Corinthians forward made no mistake from 5 yards. Blarney as they have done all season never dropped their heads. They attacked again and got a deserved equaliser with a bullet strike from Kevin Moynihan with 2 minutes to go. Blarney pressed for the winner but time ran out. Well done to all players involved and congratulations on a very good league campaign.

Thanks to parents for all the support in games( home and away)!
