U14's: Blarney United 1-0 Carrigaline

Blarney advanced to the quarter final of the local cup with a great win over higher ranked Carrigaline. Blarney had most of the play in the first half but it remained 0-0 at half time. Blarney took a deserved lead half way through the second half when Daragh Hurley volleyed home from 20 yards. This woke Carrigaline up and they attacked looking for an equaliser. However the Blarney defence well marshalled by Cork's Padraig Power and keeper Jake O Leary stood strong keeping the Carrigaline attack at bay. Blarney could have got a second on the counter attack but were unlucky on a few occasions and the game finished 1-0.
