The Under 13B's went into todays match V Riverstown on the back of some great performances over their previous three or four matches. The game started at a very good pace and Blarney had their first real shot on goal after five minutes when Issac Cronin shot form distance but the keeper had it covered. With Blarney continuing to put pressure on the Riverstown defense the breakthrough finally came. A quick throw from Cian Mackin back to Adam O Donoghue and a first time ball over the top of the defense caught out the Riverstown backs and Dairmuid MacDonagh ran onto the ball controlled it and put the ball back across the keeper to give Blarney a 1.0 lead. The pressure continued all the way to half time and Blarney went to the break 1.0 to the good. The second half started as the first half finished and Blarney continued to put pressure on the Riverstown defense. The pressure paid off soon after as a free kick delivered deep into the box by Adam O'Donoghue was met by the head of Diarmuid MacDonagh for Blarney's second and his second. As the pressure continued to mount on the Riverstown defense with the tireless running in midfield of Issac Cronin, Eddie Murphy Eoin Goggin and Dairmuid MacDonagh it was only a matter of time before the third goal came and that was delivered by the boot of Adam O'Donoghue who scored direct form a free kick for all of thirty yards. Blarney continued to dominate and with the solid defense of Cian Mackin at right back, central partnership of Adam O'Donoghue and Charlie Coulter and at left back Sam Bruchet who was drafted in at half time as the Brian Dinan had to go into goals for the injured Luke Bevan. But they never looked under pressure at any time and seen out the game comfortably. Tireless running up front from Fionn Collins who played his best match to date never the Riverstown back four a chance to mount attack as they were closed down at every opportunity. A thoroughly great performance form Blarney from start to finish and were very worthy winners at the end.
